Normally the egg-laying of the green turtle can be appreciated in the months between July and September.

Lodge Tortuguero Rana Roja
The Lodge Tortuguero Rana Roja is located next to the Tortuguero National Park. The rooms are singular lodge cabins, equipped with hot water and built in harmony with nature.

There are many visitors at Rana Roja, like the howler or white-faced monkey, a natural wake up call to your morning!
The red frog lives in our lush gardens and the blue morpho butterfly flutters around the many green areas found on the property.
Rana Roja consists of 5 cabins; each with one double bed and one single bed, a mini-bar and safety box. On site there is a restaurant, laundry service, rental boats, canoes and 24-hour Internet Café. Optional activities available are Spa Services, Fishing Tour and Canopy Tour.
Also enjoy a trip on kayak, canoe, hiking trails, massage service and restaurant- buffet style.
